Bouldering Basics

Bouldering Basics is an instructor taught, 60 minute class designed to assist new climbers in the fundamentals of bouldering indoors! No prior climbing experience is necessary for Bouldering Basics so it is the ideal course for first timers or beginners! Check out what you’ll be learning in the Class Overview.

Bouldering Basics will help new climbers learn: 

  • Basic warm up 
  • Climbing terminology 
  • Beginner exercises to improve technique and build strength 
  • How to know the difficulty level of our rock climbs
  • Differences between rock climbing hold types 
  • Proper climbing form, including fall technique
  • Good climbing etiquette in the Gym or at the Crag!

We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your class start time to fill out your waiver, get fitted for rentals, and have a tour of our Facility! Waivers can also be filled out online ahead of time to speed up your check in process.

Waivers are required for all participants and spectators. Entry to the class will be denied without a valid waiver on file.
